The Process

We know it can be a lot of information to take in, and we can all relate to the struggle of losing an important paper. That's why we have all the information you could need right here. From setting up an appointment for your tattoo to aftercare, this page covers it all!

Setting up an Appointment

First things first, let's get some ideas together!
We ask that when you message the shop or book online, you share your idea, any reference photos you have, and the size and location of your tattoo. If you're looking for inspiration, we recommend scrolling Instagram and Pinterest, as well as our portfolios.

Once we have an idea of what you want, we'll send a quote, decide on a ay and time, and take your deposit! Once we've done that, we'll send over our deposit and appointment policy

Important note: Your deposit is non-refundable, but it does go towards the total cost of your tattoo. Before setting your deposit, be sure that you're prepared to commit to your art!

A Few Days Before

We always do our best to send a confirmation text one week to three days before your appointment, but if it doesn't go through for whatever reason, know that we would be happy to receive a message from you to confirm that you'll be attending your appointment.

After a tattoo, you're not going to be able to go swimming for two weeks, so let's be sure that we aren't complicating those sunny beach days with fresh ink that has to stay dry and protected from the sun! If you have a vacation that wasn't planned when making your tattoo appointment and it'll now be affected by the necessary precautions while healing, it may be wise to reschedule.

If you do need to reschedule, please be sure to do so at least 3 days beforehand. You get one free reschedule with your deposit, and if you need to reschedule again afterwards, you will be asked to provide a new deposit.

Please also take a moment to ensure you don't have any damaged skin. That means no sunburns, rashes, scabs, etc. If you have eczema, we just want to ensure that you aren't having a breakout in the area where you'll be getting tattooed.

The Big Day!

Today's the daaayyyy!

Before you come in for your appointment, be sure to do the following:

  • Get cash. We're cash-only in shop, so you will need cash to pay for the remainder of your appointment. Tips are also appreciated, but never required.

  • Eat and drink! Especially if this is your first tattoo. Having food and water is super helpful at keeping you steady, and we'd all really appreciate it if you didn't pass out, thank you. <3

  • Don't take Tylenol, blood thinners, or use numbing cream beforehand (unless otherwise discussed with your artist).

  • No drugs or alcohol. We don't tattoo anyone under the influence.

  • Grab your ID, put on some comfy clothes that you don't mind potentially getting stained, and any comfort items you may need (people, headphones, snack, favorite teddy, all are welcome!), and you're all set to get inked!

All Done! Now what?

Congrats on your fresh ink!

Once you're all done taking photos and feeling like the coolest person alive with your new art, your artist will get you set up with aftercare instructions and take the remainder of your payment plus any tip you were planning to leave.

Note that you do get one free touch-up within 6 months of your tattoo! Just give us a call when you're ready to set it up, though we recommend waiting around 5-6 weeks before touching up.

As a whole, your aftercare is mainly not touching your fresh tattoo with dirty hands, cleaning it 2-3 times a day with antibacterial soap, and moisturizing it with a non-scented lotion or balm. We do sell some balms and lotions at the shop, but we're also happy to offer other recommendations!

One of our personal favorites is simply Aveeno -- plain and simple and moisturizing. Perfection! For long term care, just remember to apply sunscreen to your ink to keep it looking nice and fresh your whole life long.
